Sozopol - it's like a dream.
In 610 before Christ 800 greeks from Miletus and Phokea, located on today's peninsula of Sozopol in a new settlement, named for god Apollon - Apollonia. Apollon was reputable as the Healer.
During the fifth century before Christ Apollonia mint it's own silver and copper coins.
An anchor was the state's emblem and was stamped at the one coin's side.
Since 330 year after Christ Apollonia changed it's name and become named Sozopol. This change of it's name was associated with Christienity proclamation for the only allowed religion in the Empire.
There are more than 28 Christian churches in Sozopol.
